CO-OWNERSHIP SALES CONTRACT
This agreement is made this____day of__________, ______, and is between the breeder (seller) and the buyer as named below:

Seller and Buyer are collectively known as "parties".
Buyer agrees to purchase from seller a bulldog. Sex:______ Color:______

For the amount of $ 4500.00
Payment in full must be made prior to you taking ownership of the bulldog, payment is in cash, money order or certified check.
The bulldog is registered under our kennel name “Trevino’s” with the AKC. Buyer may choose the remainder of the registered name.
Terms:
This bulldog is being sold under co-ownership terms. All of Trevino’s Bulldogs sold with full registration as a show prospect are sold on co-ownership terms. This simply means that seller will be more involved in medical and breeding decisions for this bulldog. Seller will not interfere on a day-to-day basis in the puppy’s life. All ordinary care and expenses of the bulldog are the buyer’s responsibility.
This bulldog is sold as a show prospect. Seller does not guarantee that it will turn out to be show quality, it simply implies that the puppy shows promise at this time. There will be no refund or exchange if the bulldog does not turn out to be of show quality. Seller will be happy to assist in training the puppy for showing. Seller may also be able to show the bulldog for the buyer if they are not able.
If the above bulldog is a female, at the age of two years or not less than her third season, seller and buyer together will assess the breeding qualities of the bulldog. If the buyer chooses to breed her, seller will be consulted in the choice of stud. Seller shall also be offered the opportunity to purchase a puppy from such breeding. If the seller wishes to breed the bulldog, and the buyer is willing, but unable to take on the care of the pregnant bulldog and her puppies, seller may take the mother and litter and care for them until the puppies are weaned, in exchange for the pick of the litter.
If the above bulldog is a male, seller reserves the right to use him in our breeding program, at the convenience of both parties. Seller will be responsible for all costs and transportation involved in such use. Seller shall also be consulted about any stud service that is considered.
Under no circumstances is this bulldog to be used for breeding to any non-standard bulldog (i.e. “rare” or fad-colored) or any dog other than an AKC registered breed standard bulldog.
Health Guarantee:
Seller certifies that, upon receipt, the bulldog is in good health and has been immunized and wormed according to the accompanying heath record of said bulldog.
This bulldog has the following conditions now:___________________________________________________
and those conditions are excluded from any guarantee and are not valid to reject the puppy due to these conditions.
Buyer agrees to have the bulldog examined by buyer’s veterinarian at buyer’s expense within 3 days from date of purchase. If buyer’s veterinarian does not give the bulldog a clean bill of health, buyer must notify the seller immediately. Seller reserves the right to have the bulldog re-examined by seller’s veterinarian at seller’s cost. Any condition that is a breed-related minor condition is not covered. These include elongated soft palate, small trachea, dermatitis, skin or food allergies, eyelid problems or cherry eye and hip dysplasia. Some of these health issues are hereditary to bulldogs and are possibly present in all bloodlines, regardless of the parent’s good health. No condition which a puppy will likely outgrow is covered.
If the bulldog is found not to be in good health, seller will regain possession of the puppy if this is agreeable to both parties. Seller is not responsible for contagious diseases diagnosed after 3 days from date of purchase.
Seller is not responsible/liable for heat related ailments, including, but not limited to, heat stroke, exhaustion, dehydration and other conditions. Remember that a bulldog can over heat quickly and easily and may die as a result. Bulldogs must be indoor dogs.
Buyer's Responsibility:
The puppy’s care and health shall be buyer’s responsibility. However, as co-owners we shall be notified of any and all special medical needs of the puppy to help buyer make the most informed decision possible. All medical bills, show entry fees, registration fees and daily care shall be buyer’s responsibility.
Buyer agrees to take good care of this bulldog, feed and house the bulldog properly (indoors), maintain shots, control the bulldog on a harness or leash when in public and when off the premises of the bulldog's home. The bulldog's outdoor area will be fenced in and secure, or acceptable provisions will be made to assure the bulldog is safe any time it is outdoors. Buyer agrees to give the bulldog proper physical and emotional care and welfare. Buyer agrees to house the bulldog indoors as its primary housing. If the bulldog is found to be allowed to run freely, running at large, creating a public nuisance, or found to be neglected, abused or allowed to live in poor health or poor conditions buyer agrees to return possession of bulldog to seller with no refund to buyer. Seller will not compensate buyer for death, injury or loss of bulldog due to theft, carelessness, recklessness, abuse, neglect, heat stroke or accident.
The bulldog is warranted only for the purpose of being a companion animal, not for any other purpose or reasons. No warranty is given to the buyer by seller for any special purpose or function of this bulldog. This bulldog is not to be used for any illegal or immoral activities and is not to be used for any type of puppy mill, dog farm or other mass producing or money making operation.
In the event buyer is unable to keep this bulldog for any reason, buyer agrees to return bulldog to seller, with no refund. Buyer agrees not to resell this bulldog to any retail company or establishment, or to rehome the bulldog in any way without consulting seller.
Any changes to this contract must be in writing and signed by both parties. This contract and all of the terms above are agreed upon by the parties, and this is a binding and legal contract. The laws of the state of Colorado apply, and if any disputes arise, and are litigated, the prevailing party is entitled to attorney’s fees, costs, and any other relief granted by the court.
This three page document is the entire agreement between the parties and is valid and agreed to by all parties. All parties have read and understood the entire three pages and agreed to this contract in full by signing below.
