Adult Dog Adoption
We occasionally place young adult retired show dogs in family homes. These homes must be located in Colorado. If you are interested, please fill out an application to be considered

Have you owned a bulldog before? If not, have you researched the breed? Are you familiar with the breed's unique characteristics and possible health concerns?
Please indicate what type of dwelling you live in (home, townhome, apartment, etc).
If you rent, do you have your landlord’s permission to have a dog?
Where will the dog spend the daytime hours? Where will the dog spend the night?
Will someone be at home with the dog during the day? If not, what arrangements will be made to feed and exercise the dog?
Please list household members. If there are children, what are their ages?
Have you ever owned a dog? If so, what breed(s)? What happened to the dog(s) you previously owned?
Describe any other pets in your household. (Species? Size? Age? Sex? Spayed or neutered?)
Do you currently have a vet? If so, who?
Are you prepared to make a commitment to this dog for its entire life?
Do you understand that a majority of bulldogs will need vet care beyond the standard checkups and may have problems from time to time that you will be financially responsible for?
Sample Placement Contract:
The parties agree that (bulldog) will be placed with you, however, we retain legal ownership and s/he will remain registered with the AKC in our name. There is a charge of $1000 for this placement.
You agree to notify us of any serious health or behavioral problems or illnesses that occur with (bulldog), as soon as possible.
You agree that if you can no longer care for (bulldog) you will return him/her to us. S/he is never to be relinquished to a rescue or placed with a third party.
You agree to provide adequate care for (bulldog), and that if s/he is ever found to be neglected, we reserve the right to regain possession.
All ordinary care expenses for (bulldog), such as food and routine medical care, shall be your responsibility.
You agree that (bulldog) is not to be neutered, and that we retain the right to use him in our breeding program. Any such breeding collection would be arranged with you in advance, and we would pay for all associated costs. He is not to be used by you for any breeding without our written consent.
Any changes to this contract must be in writing and signed by both parties. This contract and all of the terms above are agreed upon by the parties, and this is a binding and legal contract. The laws of the state of Colorado apply, and if any disputes arise, and are litigated, the prevailing party is entitled to attorney’s fees, costs, and any other relief granted by the court.
This document is the entire agreement between the parties and is valid and agreed to by all parties. All parties have read and understood and agreed to this contract in full by signing below.
